DALLAS — Strong storms produced a tornado warning and left behind widespread reports of damage in North Texas on Tuesday morning.

The city of Ennis had a power outage at its power treatment plant and had asked residents to limit water use until 5 p.m. Tuesday after power was restored to the plant.

Our crews saw numerous downed trees and power lines in the Garland and Richardson areas, and that included trees that had fallen onto homes or across roadways.

The Forney Fire Department confirmed damage at North Forney High School, while the National Weather Service confirmed damage in Lewisville.

The Lewisville damage included downed trees and power lines and one collapsed structure, according to the National Weather Service. There was also reports of an overturned 18-wheeler on Texas 121 near Josey Lane and multiple wrecks along Interstate 35E, both northbound and southbound.

Operations at the Garland Kingsley Station at 3260 Satum Road are suspended Tuesday because of storm damage. Retail and P.O. Box operations at the Garland Kingsley Station have been temporarily relocated to the Garland Main Post Office at 1000 W. Walnut Street. It's open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.

We'll be tracking damage reports and photos and videos as we receive them here.
