A new airline is coming to DFW Airport — with nonstop service to Hong Kong

Cathay Pacific will operate four flights per week on an Airbus A350-1000 aircraft. Flights depart on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, the release said.

DALLAS — A new airline is coming to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport -- and it's bringing back nonstop flights to Hong Kong, the airport announced Tuesday.

Cathay Pacific, a Hong Kong-headquartered airline, will launch nonstop service from DFW to Hong Kong International Airport, starting April 24, 2025, according to a news release from DFW Airport. The service will offer the first direct flights between DFW and Hong Kong since American canceled service in 2020.

Cathay Pacific will operate four flights per week on an Airbus A350-1000 aircraft. Flights will depart on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, the release said.

“Connecting the cultural and commercial opportunities between DFW and Hong Kong with a nonstop flight is crucial for these two globally influential regions,” Sean Donohue, DFW’s Chief Executive Officer, said in the release. “We are excited to welcome Cathay Pacific as our newest international airline, with service that will grow DFW’s connectivity throughout Asia and beyond.”

Tickets for the nonstop service are already on sale and are listed in the $1,000 range, though prices vary by day. The flight is listed as 16 hours and 10 minutes long.

The route will be among the longest out of DFW. In fact, according to Hopper, the 16-hour would rank second among DFW's offerings, behind only the 17-hour Qantas flights to Australia.
