DENTON -- A tweet sent out by the Denton School District in reply to a student trying to get out of school during Monday's storm has gone viral on Twitter.
Student Sydnie Acker posted a photo on Twitter directed at DISD. It shows a person laying on the ground while wearing pink Crocs. Ice cubes are all over the ground and the person jokingly appears to be injured.
The school district had a humorous reply, which has been retweeted by more than 4,300 people and retweeted more than 5,300 times.
Several students joined in on the fun, hoping to get classes canceled.
