Lewisville ISD: Hebron High bomb threat a hoax

CARROLLTON A lockdown at Hebron High School was lifted after police swept the school and declared it safe Tuesday morning.

'We are thankful that the investigation has been completed ... and that this was a hoax,' said Karen Permetti, a spokeswoman with the district.

At about 9:20 a.m., Carrollton police confirmed the school went into lockdown after a bomb threat was made from a male caller who said he was inside the school. The caller said the bomb was located inside the orchestra music room.

The nearby Hebron 9th Grade Center was also placed on lockdown as a precaution.

Police set up a perimeter around the school and checked each room for potential danger, read a post on the district's Facebook page.

At about 10:10 a.m., Permetti confirmed authorities declared the threat a hoax.
