DENTON -- Ryan High School was placed on lockdown Thursday afternoon shortly after students were released due to a threat.
According to Denton police, they searched room by room, but they did not found any evidence of a threat. The lockdown was lifted around 5:30 p.m.
The district received a threatening call and the school was placed in lockdown around 4 p.m., after many students had already left the left the building. Once the lockdown began, no students were allowed in or out of the building as police began their search.
Many students were still hanging around the outside of the school as the campus was on lockdown.
