DENTON, Texas — A 27-year-old Fort Worth man is facing a murder charge after allegedly supplying pills containing fentanyl to a 25-year-old who died of an overdose, according to Denton police.
First responders found Tyler Blevins-Stafford, 25, unconscious in his apartment on July 25. He was pronounced dead at the hospital, and police later determined his cause of death to be fentanyl toxicity.
After an investigation, police determined King Marsayis Killebrew-Stephens, 27, sold pills containing fentanyl to Blevins-Stafford before his death.
Killebrew-Stephens was arrested by the Denton Police Department on Tuesday at the 4000 block of Norma Lane in Fort Worth, according to DPD. He was booked into Denton County Jail where his bond has not been set.
According to Denton PD, this is the fourth fentanyl murder arrest in Denton this year and the seventh since a state law went into effect making supplying fentanyl that leads to a death a criminal offense.
