DECATUR, Texas — A 72-year-old bicyclist was killed in a crash in Decatur on Wednesday morning, police said.
The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of Cemetery Road, near the Decatur Municipal Airport, according to the Decatur Police Department.
Raudel Perez, 72, was identified as the victim who died, police said.
An 18-year-old was driving a Ford F-250 south on Cemetery Road when he collided with Perez, who was riding his bicycle northbound, according to police. Perez died at the scene.
More information about how the crash happened was not released.
Police were still investigating the crash later Wednesday. No arrests have been made.
