DALLAS — Drivers on Interstate 35E in Dallas dealt with major traffic issues Sunday afternoon due to downed power lines.
The power lines were down on both sides of the highway near Clarendon Drive.
As of 4:20 p.m., the Dallas County Sheriff's Office said the highway was back open. Dallas Fire-Rescue said crews arrived at around 1:53 p.m. to clean up.
Traffic had been at a standstill, and drivers were forced off the highway.
It's unclear how the power lines ended up on the highway. The fire department said Oncor has been notified.
WFAA's Mike Leslie was stuck in this traffic and described how authorities were helping to free up the drivers.
