All lanes reopened after high water closed several along westbound Interstate 635 in Dallas on Monday

According to TxDOT, three westbound main lanes of the highway were blocked by high water following Monday morning rains.

DALLAS — Several lanes of Interstate 635 in northeast Dallas were blocked by high water Monday morning after heavy rain moved through the area.

Texas Department of Transportation cameras showed water flowing over the roadway along 635 near Garland Road. Footage showed two cars that appeared to be stuck in the floodwaters. It was not yet clear if any injuries were reported or if anyone was in danger.

According to TxDOT, three westbound main lanes of the highway were blocked by the high water. Rain moved through the area shortly before 6 a.m. Monday. 

By Monday afternoon, all lanes along the highway had been reopened to traffic.
