DALLAS — A 36-year-old man was fatally shot Sunday evening in southern Dallas, police said.
David Johnson was identified as the victim, according to a police news release.
Officers responded at about 6:30 pm. to a shooting in the 3200 block of Maryland Avenue, near East Kiest Boulevard and South Marsalis Avenue. Police learned that Johnson was shot at the location by an unknown suspect.
Johnson was taken to a hospital, where he died, police said.
Police said suspects left the location, but they didn't say how many. No arrests have been made.
