Driver wanted in hit-and-run that killed 7-year-old girl near Dallas hotel, police say

Police say a second driver struck the girl and then stayed and worked with officers. They're looking for the first driver that hit her.

DALLAS — Dallas police are looking for the driver who hit and killed a little girl near a Dallas hotel early Monday morning.

The incident happened around 12:20 a.m. in the 7600 block of LBJ Freeway Service Road. That's near the Residence Inn by Park Central Drive in North Dallas.

Initially, police believed that a driver in a white vehicle was going eastbound on the road and struck a 7-year-old girl in the road. Due to the girl's age, her name will not be released to the public.

After further investigation, police now believe another driver had hit the girl before the driver in the white vehicle did.

The driver of the white vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers, according to DPD.

On Wednesday, Dallas police shared a stock photo and a description of the suspect vehicle. It's believed to be a 2007-2014 Cadillac Escalade or a vehicle similar to that. The color of vehicle is unknown.

Police say the suspect vehicle should have damage on the front right side and have a missing right headlight.

Dallas Police are asking for the public’s help to identify the vehicle and suspect driver who hit a seven-year-old girl...
