Here's how many people voted in North Texas on the first day of early voting

We're tracking the latest early voting totals and turnout percentages for the November election.

DALLAS — Tens of thousands of North Texans turned out to vote Monday, the first day of early voting in Texas.

And the first day wasn't without issues: A software glitch at the polls caused delays in South Dallas, and other lengthy delays were reported in Garland as well. But the speed bumps didn't stop voters from casting their ballots.

Below are the early voting totals from Monday for North Texas counties that have reported numbers, with the turnout percentage in parentheses, according to the Texas Secretary of State Office. These numbers include BOTH in-person and mail voters, per the data. Track the numbers from every Texas county here.

Note: These numbers are through the first day of early voting, Oct. 21, 2024.
