DALLAS — A crash shut down westbound Interstate 635 in northeast Dallas overnight into Friday morning.
The crash happened around 11 p.m. Thursday near Plano Road, and the westbound lanes were shut down until around 5:15 a.m., according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
Officials said a semi-truck hit a concrete barrier, knocking the barrier into the road and blocking traffic. The barrier was having to get moved by heavy equipment, causing delays overnight as crews diverted traffic off the highway at Jupiter Road.
The truck was removed from the area overnight, but hazmat crews were still at the scene cleaning up a fuel spill.
No injuries were initially reported.
