DALLAS — Investigators have arrested a suspect they believe shot and killed a man after an argument inside a Dallas business on Thursday night, according to the Dallas Police Department.
At around 5:40 p.m. on Thursday, Dallas police responded to a shooting call in the 2500 block of S. Belt Line Road. This address is located southwest of Kleberg Park, and north of the Sand Branch community near Southeast Dallas.
Police said, when officers arrived on the scene, they found 31-year-old Michael Pierson shot inside a business. Pierson was taken to a local hospital where he died, police said.
According to police, further investigation determined that Pierson was shot after an argument with an unknown male suspect. After the shooting, police said, the suspect reportedly ran north from the store through the parking lot.
Kemone Rudd, 25, was arrested Dec. 18 by U.S. Marshals in Ripley, Tennessee, and charged with murder in connection with the incident, officials say. Rudd is being held in Lauderdale County Jail and is awaiting extradition, officials say.
