DALLAS — A 34-year-old man, Avery Norwood, has died after he was reportedly beaten and left unconscious in Dallas back in April.
According to the Dallas Police Department, on April 6, officers responded to the 700 block of West Mockingbird Lane around 8:35 a.m. and found Norwood beaten and unconscious.
Police said Norwood was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Over four months later, Dallas police were notified that Norwood had died from his injuries on Aug. 21. Because of this development, the case has been reassigned to the Homicide Unit, police said.
According to DPD, there is no information on a suspect at this time.
