DALLAS — A Parish Episcopal school teacher has been arrested on possession of child pornography charges, the Dallas school said in message to parents on Monday.
In the message, Head of School Michelle Lyon said they learned on Monday morning of the arrest involving lower school teacher Brandon Froning, 31.
According to Lyon, the school said the charges are related to "online misconduct and do not involve any current or former Parish students."
Froning, who joined Parish Episcopal in the 2021-2022 school year, was suspended and barred from the campus pending the investigation.
"The safety and security of our students and community are our highest priority. As we do with all faculty, staff, contractors and volunteers, Parish conducted multiple reference checks as well as criminal and sex offender background checks on Mr. Froning, and those checks did not reveal any criminal record," Lyon said in the statement.
Further details were not released as the investigation continues.
