DALLAS — A 28-year-old Dallas man was found dead in an Uptown apartment complex trash chute/dumpster last week, according to medical examiner records.

The Dallas Police Department told WFAA that officers responded at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 14 to the 2300 block of Thomas Avenue to a call for service. When officers got to the scene, they found a man dead and said it was being investigated as an unexplained death.

Medical examiner records identified the victim as 28-year-old Marcus Brown. Brown was found dead in The Jordan Apartments "dumpster/trash chute," according to the records. The manner of Brown's death still listed as pending as of Tuesday morning.

There were not any other details immediately available regarding Brown's death or why he was found in the apartment trash chute.

Dallas police say a preliminary investigation determined there was no indication of foul play.

WFAA is working to gather more information.
