Fire crews respond to three-alarm fire at large abandoned warehouse

Dallas-Fire Rescue said units were assigned to the fire at 5:28 a.m. Tuesday after multiple reports of a fire coming from a warehouse.

DALLAS — Fire crews were working to extinguish a three-alarm fire Tuesday morning near Arcadia Park, Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR) told WFAA.

DFR said units were assigned to this fire at 5:28 a.m. Tuesday after multiple reports of fire coming from a warehouse, located at 9306 West Jefferson Blvd, near the Loop 12 and Walton Walker Boulevard intersection.

DFR said firefighters arrived at the scene and found the fire coming from the center of a large abandoned warehouse, and it was "well-advanced" when the units got there.

A second and third alarm were issued for the fire, bringing approximately 60 to 70 firefighters to the scene using aerial ladders and ground lines, according to DFR.

DFR officials told WFAA the fire had caused severe damage from a major roof collapse. There have been no injuries reported, DFR said.

According to on scene personnel, the location appeared to already be undergoing some type of demolition.
