DALLAS — A North Texas tree trimmer is back on ground level after he became stuck in a tree Saturday afternoon.

According to Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR), crews responded to a home on Capri Drive around 2:21 p.m. to reports of a tree trimmer getting his leg lodged between branches of a tree.

DFR said it requested an Urban Search & Rescue (USAR) response to help at the scene.

According to DFR, members of the USAR team had to climb on top of the house to cut away additional tree limbs to create a clear path for a truck and it's aerial ladder.

DFR said it extended the tip of the ladder to the trapped tree trimmer and used it to support the tree trimmer's weight while they cut the limbs away.

Once free, the tree trimmer was able to walk down the ladder with the assistance of USAR Technicians, according to DFR.

DFR said the tree trimmer was evaluated by medics but was not taken to the hospital.
