DALLAS — As home of the likes of Mark Cuban and Jerry Jones, it’s no secret Dallas has its share of wealthy residents, but where does Dallas rank among the world’s wealthiest cities?
Dallas is the 22nd wealthiest city in the world, and its number of millionaires has grown 75% from 2013 to 2023, according to a new report from London-based private investment migration consultancy firm Henley & Partners. Their report, in partnership with New World Wealth, is published annually.
Dallas has 68,600 millionaire residents and 15 billionaires, according to the report.
Dallas ranks as the sixth wealthiest city in the U.S., behind New York City with 349,500 millionaire residents and 60 billionaire residents, the Bay Area with 305,700 millionaires and 68 billionaires, Los Angeles with 212.100 millionaires and 43 billionaires, Chicago with 120,500 millionaires and 24 billionaires, and Houston with 90,900 millionaires and 18 billionaires, according to the report.
Austin is also ranked as the 10th wealthiest city in the U.S. with a millionaire count of 32,700 and 10 billionaires.
The U.S. leads the pack among the world’s wealthiest cities with 11 cities listed among the top 50 wealthiest cities, according to the report.
