Residents of all three homes were not injured during the fire, according to Dallas Fire Rescue.

DALLAS — A fire that started in a West Dallas home overnight quickly spread to two neighboring homes, according to Dallas Fire Rescue

No residents were injured during the fires, fire rescue said in a press release.

Fire fighters were called around 11 p.m. to a structure fire off Hammerly Drive in West Dallas and found a fully engulfed one story house, according to fire rescue. The home's residents were already standing outside when fire fighters arrived and officials don't know how many people were in the home.

Fire fighters requested more personnel and resources as the fire spread to two surrounding homes, the release states. Residents from the two nearby homes made it outside safely and firefighters declared the fire was out at 12:51 a.m.

The American Red Cross is assisting the affected families and the cause of the fire is under investigation, the release states.
