DALLAS — Two men are dead after a crash involving a box truck, according to the Dallas Police Department.
Police said the accident happened around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday. In a statement, Dallas PD officials said preliminary findings show two men driving a Corvette ran a red light while driving east on Elam Road. At the same time, a man driving a box truck was heading north on N. Masters Drive through a green light at the intersection, police believe.
According to DPD, the Corvette collided with the passenger side of the truck and continued driving until striking a wooden pole near the intersection. Both men occupying the Corvette died in the accident, police said.
According to police, the man driving the box truck immediately stopped and remained on the scene.
