Dallas police are investigating two fatal accidents that happened overnight.

Early Sunday morning, a pedestrian was killed by a hit-and-run driver near the DART station in the 5500 block of East Mockingbird Lane. Police spokesman Officer Juan Fernandez said there was no crosswalk where 20-year-old Paul Miltenberger victim was apparently trying to get to the north side of the six-lane divided street when he was struck by a black Dodge Charger traveling westbound.

Fernandez said the driver failed to stop and render aid in the accident that happened around 2:20 a.m.

Late Saturday night, the driver of a pickup truck was killed night when his Dodge Ram pickup truck missed a curve at the corner of Pine Street and Malcolm X Boulevard. Fernandez said the truck knocked down a traffic light before being stopped by a metal fence.

The male driver of the truck has not been identified by police.
