DALLAS – Fifteen years after closing its doors, the music venue The Bomb Factory in Dallas' Deep Ellum neighborhood is reborn with the same name, but different owner.

Clint Barlow, a musician turned club owner is behind the new venue. Barlow was first introduced to the Deep Ellum music scene in the late '90s, when he moved to North Texas.

The Bomb Factory was one of many clubs in Deep Ellum to close in the late '90s.

"Once one closed, it was kind of a domino effect, and then I think - not just in my mind, but in a lot of people's minds - it made it seem like the area was done," Barlow said.

Thursday, the sound of progress is everywhere. An army of construction workers working to build a new music venue from the ground up. The Bomb Factory is reborn.

Set to open March 26, the venue will hold 4,300, making it one of the biggest venues of its kind in the city, and by far the biggest in Deep Ellum.

"Design-wise it's not the same inside at all, but they also didn't have A/C back then either," Barlow said. "So there are going to be a few things that people are going to miss, but there are going to be new things that everybody is really going to like."

Dallas' Erykah Badu will be the first artist to break in the newest and biggest club in Deep Ellum. For more information and upcoming events, click here.
