DALLAS — A 17-year-old was shot and killed in Dallas early Saturday, police say.
Police responded to the 2800 block of Burger Avenue in South Dallas shortly after 2:30 a.m. Saturday and found Demaryae Dequan Hill-Young, 17, shot, according to a news release.
Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and Young died at the scene, police say. Police didn’t provide additional details and said the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
Dallas ISD confirmed to WFAA that Young was a student at Lincoln High School.
