The pilots of two small aircraft reported being targeted by a green laser beam multiple times early Sunday morning.

The Dallas County Sheriff's Department and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the reports,

Both agencies say the incidents happened 12 miles south of Dallas Love Field, just east of Interstate 35E and north of I-20 at Wheatland Road in Dallas.

A law enforcement helicopter dispatched to investigate the report was unable to locate its source.

Two years ago, a 22-year-old Dallas man was sentenced to prison for a similar incident involving a Dallas police helicopter.

Last Tuesday, the pilots aboard a commercial jetliner on approach to Love Field told flight controllers that they spotted an unmanned lighted drone aircraft several hundred feet away.
