ROWLETT - Police say a person of interest in the murder of a bride to be in Rowlett was picked up by U.S Marshals in Florida on Friday.

Jesus Emmanuel Trevino, 30, was located in Clearwater, Florida in a vacant house with cooperation from Rowlett Police, Dallas Police and the Marshal Service on a warrant for failing to register as a sex offender out of Dallas.

Sources with knowledge of the case say Trevino was tracked down through the efforts of the Dallas Police Department sex offender apprehension squad, which had obtained a warrant for his arrest.

Rowlett detectives want to question Trevino about the murder of Laura Grillo, a former volunteer with the Rowlett Police Department and a mother of three.

Grillo, 37, was found shot to death in the kitchen of her home on November 13, 2015 in the 8200 block of America’s Cup after dropping one of her children off at school.

Rowlett detectives say Trevino is one of three persons of interest in the case, however only two have been identified.

Jesus Emmanuel Trevino, 30, has been named a person of interest in the murder of Laura Grillo back in November of 2015.

Investigators named James Villeda, 29, as a second person of interest in Grillo's murder in March. Villeda was also located through the efforts of the DPD sex offender apprehension which arrested him this past November for failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements.

Both men were employees of Grillo's fiance John Makris in a home remodeling business he ran with Grillo.

No one has been named a suspect in the murder.
