Part of I-20 in Dallas County will be shut down Friday night

The lane and ramp closures at the I-20-U.S. 67 interchange in Dallas County Friday night are part of an "ongoing corridor improvement project," TxDOT says.

DALLAS COUNTY, Texas — A portion of Interstate 20 in the Duncanville area will be shut down for road work Friday night.

Specifically, all lanes of westbound I-20 will be closed between Hampton Road and Cockrell Hill Road from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday as part of an "ongoing corridor improvement project," according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

The southbound and northbound U.S. 67 connectors to westbound I-20 and Westmoreland Road between he east and westbound frontage roads will also be closed during this time, according to TxDOT.

Traffic will be moved to the service road.

The project is expected to finish in early 2025, weather permitting.
