IRVING — A FedEx employee was critically injured when she became stuck on a conveyor belt as it was operating Thursday afternoon.
Authorities were called to a FedEx packaging center at 3215 Spur 482 in Irving at about 12:20 p.m.
Crews disassembled the conveyor belt to pull the woman out. She was transported to Parkland Hospital in critical condition.
OSHA is investigating the incident.
FedEx issued this statement Thursday evening:
"Our thoughts and prayers are with our team member involved in today's accident at the FedEx Ground facility in Irving, Texas. The safety of our employees is our highest priority, and we are cooperating fully with authorities investigating the cause of the accident."
