DALLAS — A Dallas Police Department recruit was arrested on Saturday for DWI, the department said in a press release.
DPD said recruit Jason Orr was arrested on Nov. 2 by the Texas Department of Public Safety for DWI, a class-B misdemeanor. DPD said Orr was off duty when he was arrested.
Orr has been with the Dallas Police Department since May, according to DPD, and is assigned to the Dallas Police Basic Academy.
DPD said Orr is on administrative leave pending the outcome of an Internal Affairs administrative investigation.
