DALLAS — A Dallas police officer was arrested Tuesday on a misdemeanor family violence assault charge, the Dallas Police Department confirmed.
Dallas Police Senior Corporal Raneen Bazzi, who was off duty at the time, was arrested Sept. 17 by the Dallas Police Public Integrity Unit, officials say.
Bazzi has worked with the Dallas Police Department since June 2015 and is assigned to the Southeast Patrol Division, according to a news release.
Bazzi was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal affairs investigation, police said.
No other details were immediately available.
