DALLAS — The city of Dallas and Dallas ISD will open a resource center at Truett Elementary School for residents impacted by the recent storms.

The resource center at the school at 1810 Inadale Avenue is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The center is meant to serve as a hub for residents to access services from many governmental agencies and nongovernmental organizations. Representatives of voluntary organizations active in disaster relief efforts will be on hand to meet with residents in need.

Some of the organizations that will be on hand include 2-1-1 Community Council of Greater Dallas, North Texas Food Bank, Agape Connect, American Red Cross, Texas Baptist Men, Legal Aid of Northwest Texas, and Catholic Services.

“We recognize the severity of this storm and the impact of extended power outages,” said Travis Houston, Director of the Dallas Office of Emergency Management. “We are grateful to the partners who are helping us respond to the needs of affected residents.”
