DALLAS — Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to a fire at a church in southern Dallas late Wednesday afternoon.

Crews responded to the fire at New Generation Church at the intersection of 56th Street and Ivy Lane around 3:30 p.m. and found smoke emanating from the building.

As of shortly before 4 p.m., it was reported as a one-alarm fire. WFAA chopper video showed multiple fire trucks on the scene.

Dallas Fire-Rescue said the fire was controlled and extinguished shortly after 4 p.m., and no injuries were reported.

Investigators determined the cause of the fire to be accidental from an electrical short in the attic.

This is the third church fire in Dallas in as many weeks. A firefighter was injured while battling a fire at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Dallas last Friday, and a fire decimated the historic sanctuary at First Baptist Dallas downtown July 19
