DALLAS – A 2.4-magnitude earthquake was recorded Tuesday afternoon in North Texas.
The United States Geological Survey confirmed that the quake hit at 3:18 p.m. Tuesday, five miles east-northeast of Irving. It was centered off of Interstate 35E south of Royal Lane. It occurred at a depth of 5 kilometers, or 3.1 miles, according to the USGS.
On Sunday, a 2.7-magnitude quake was recorded in Irving, about four miles to the southwest of Tuesday's earthquake.
