Electric shock incident sends 2 to hospital in North Texas, officials say

CROWLEY, Texas — Two people were taken to a hospital after a reported shock incident involving construction vehicles that came into contact with power lines in Crowley, officials said.

The incident was reported around 9 a.m. in the area of Floyd Hampton Road and Point Du Gard Way, according to the Crowley Fire Department.

Officials said two construction vehicles came into contact with power lines, causing the incident. Crews were working to establish a "hot zone" to get access to multiple patients, and two patients were taken to a Level 1 trauma hospital facility.

More information about their conditions was not yet available.

Floyd Hampton Road was shut down in both directions while crews responded to the incident.
