CROCKETT, Texas — The Crockett Police Department is searching for two individuals responsible for stealing six chainsaws from a John Deere dealership on May 31.

Crockett police were working in conjunction with other law enforcement agencies in Texas, Louisiana and Tennessee to identify the individuals as Christopher James Watson, 27, of Stafford and Gary Dewayne Simmons II, 24, from Houston.

Watson was served with a warrant for burglary of a building and remains in custody in Beauregard Parish, Louisiana while Simmons has not yet been located.

The six stolen chainsaws have yet to be recovered.

The investigation discovered that the burglary occurred after the glass door of the tractor dealership was shattered allowing for Watson and Simmons to steal the merchandise.

In addition, one female passenger appears to have been inside the vehicle, according to video footage.

Watson and Simmons are also suspected to be involved in other burglaries across the country.
