PLANO -- Dallas Cowboys great Robert Newhouse was remembered by family and friends on Friday.
His funeral was held at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano. Plenty of his former teammates, including Roger Staubach and CalvinHill, filed in, sharing hugs as they prepared to honor their old friend.
Newhouse died last week at age 64 of complications from heart disease. He played 12 seasons in the NFL, all with the Cowboys.
He later served as director of alumni and player programs -- and was the first former player hired on staff after Jerry Jones bought the team.
