COPPELL, Texas — Some Coppell residents were asked to evacuate their homes on Monday as a precaution as Atmos Energy crews work on an incident in the area.
The incident is in the 200 block of Plantation Drive, officials said.
Atmos Energy, in a statement to WFAA, said technicians responded to a call Monday night in Coppell at the request of the Coppell Fire Department, where they issued a temporary evacuation of several homes in that area.
Everyone impacted by the incident has been contacted, officials added, and there has been no further need for evacuations identified at this time.
The city is asking everyone to avoid the area while public safety and Atmos crews continue their investigation.
