WYLIE, Texas — One person is dead following a crash involving an 18-wheeler at a Wylie intersection, police said.
According to the Wylie Police Department, officers are investigating a crash that happened before 6:38 a.m. on Wednesday at the intersection of Parker Road and Elaine Drive.
Police said a black Volkswagen Jetta was wedged under the trailer of an 18-wheeler when they arrived on the scene. The driver of the Jetta was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Wylie PD.
Wylie PD did not disclose what led up the crash, but said the department's Accident Investigation Team is investigating.
