FRISCO, Texas — One person has been arrested and charged with murder after a fatal shooting Wednesday night that happened near a Frisco Walmart Supercenter, according to police.
Officers responded to the Walmart, located at the northeast corner of Eldorado Parkway and FM 423, for reports of gunshots. The person who reported the shooting told police that someone had possibly been shot and the suspect fled in a gray sedan, Frisco police said. When officers arrived, the found 22-year-old Ja'Karrion Craig lying in the parking lot with wounds to his chest and foot.
Officers and Frisco Fire performed life-saving measures on Craig, but he died at a local hospital, Frisco police said.
Police said officers conducted multiple interviews and reviewed security video and identified a suspect. The suspect, who was not identified by police, was found at their residence and taken into custody without incident by Frisco SWAT.
Frisco police said this incident is isolated and there is no threat to the public.
The Walmart remained open Wednesday night with shoppers coming and going as police investigated the crime scene nearby.
