DALLAS — The Dallas Police Department said a child was injured after being shot in the leg Wednesday evening.
According to police, officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 2800 block of East Overton Road at about 6:20 p.m.
Upon arrival, police said officers discovered that a child had been shot in the leg. According to police, the child was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
The Dallas Police Department did not say how old the child was or what the circumstances were that led up to the shooting. It is unknown if anyone else was involved or injured.
Dallas PD said this is an ongoing investigation.
