FORT WORTH, Texas — Correction: Fort Worth police initially said the child struck was a girl. The child is a boy.
A young boy was injured in a shooting after an argument broke out in a parking lot early Thursday.
Officers were called shortly after 1 a.m. to South Collard Street and Hanger Avenue, near Highway 287, Fort Worth police said.
Police said someone fired off several rounds into the crowd during an argument. One of the bullets went through a vehicle and hit the child.
He was driven to the hospital. The family told WFAA that the child is in stable condition. Police did not release the child's age at this time.
