COCKRELL HILL, Texas — The City of Cockrell Hill rescinded its Boil Water Notice to all residents after the public water system took corrective actions to restore the water quality on Monday, July 8.
The city provided the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality with laboratory test results that indicated the water no longer required boiling prior to use, according to a press release.
The Boil Water Notice began on Friday, July 5, due to reduced distribution system pressure and line breaks.
The city said water previously had to be boiled to ensure that all harmful bacteria and other microbes were destroyed.
