RENDON, Texas — A North Texas water supply company Tuesday rescinded a boil water notice that was issued Monday after an “equipment malfunction.”

Bethesda Water Supply Corporation, which is headquartered in Burleson, said they issued the boil water notice Monday for customers in Rendon and surrounding areas because of reduced distribution pressure created by equipment malfunction.” By Tuesday, Bethesda Water Supply Company said the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality determined the water no longer required boiling before use.

"The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of Tuesday," Bethesda Water Supply Corporation said in a statement on their website.
