FORT WORTH, Texas — Don't worry everyone, baby Jesus has returned!
A doll that was stolen from a Nativity display at the Sundance Square plaza in Fort Worth was returned by police on Wednesday.
However, police did not say how the doll was found.
The story of the dubbed "Baby Jesus Thief" began last weekend when Sundance Square officials posted surveillance images on Instagram of a man who appeared to be taking the doll from the display around 2 a.m. Saturday.
The downtown district asked the public for help identifying the alleged thief.
Police said they received a report from the district's security team about the theft.
On Wednesday, police said baby Jesus was found and returned but did not release further details.
Police said they are still looking for the suspects involved in the theft.
"Sundance Square has increased security patrols and are happy Baby Jesus has been returned," police said in a statement.
