Phone service has been restored for wireline AT&T customers in the Tarrant County area who may have been affected by a fiber cut caused by a road crew earlier Tuesday.
"We worked as quickly as possible to repair the damage and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused," an AT&T spokesperson wrote Tuesday.
The outages were reported in parts of north and northwest Fort Worth and only affected landlines, not cellphones, police said.
The reports come days after similar 911 outages across North Texas.
AT&T released a statement early Tuesday afternoon to address the outages:
Damage to some buried cables caused by a road crew may be affecting service for some customers in the Fort Worth area. Our team is onsite making repairs to restore service as quickly as possible.
