ARLINGTON, Texas — A woman at an Arlington apartment complex shot at a man who was tapping on her window, police said Thursday.
The Arlington Police Department said officers responded at approximately 8 p.m. Wednesday to an apartment in the 6100 block of Altersgate Lane for a report of shots fired.
When officers got to the scene, they spoke to a resident who said she was inside her apartment and heard someone tapping on her window. The woman went out to her patio to investigate and saw a man she did not know nor was she expecting. The woman told officers she yelled at the man and fired a single shot at him.
The man ran away, police said. It seems the unknown man was not shot, APD added.
Arlington police said other witnesses corroborated the woman's story.
There were no reports of any injuries nor anyone showing up at a hospital with a gunshot wound.
