Arlington motorcycle officer hospitalized after crash in Pantego, police say

ARLINGTON, Texas — A motorcycle officer was involved in a crash near the intersection of Park Row Drive and Woodland West Drive in Pantego Wednesday, according to the Arlington Police Department.

Officers responded to the crash shortly before 1 p.m. The officer was taken by ambulance to an area hospital, and police say, “his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.”

Arlington Police Chief Al Jones along with other ADP employees said they visited the officer in the hospital and report "he's in good spirits." The department said he even cracked some jokes while they were visiting.

"Please keep our officer in your thoughts as we all wish him a speedy recovery," the department said in a post on X.

The driver of the other vehicle involved remained at the scene, police said.

The town of Pantego reported Park Row Drive between Bowen Road and Mistletoe Lane was briefly closed Wednesday afternoon but was reopened by 2:34 p.m.
