ARLINGTON, Texas — A 37-year-old man died in a single-vehicle crash on Sunday morning in Arlington, police said.

The Arlington Police Department told WFAA that officers responded at approximately 2:04 a.m. Sunday to the 2200 block of West Sublett Road. They found the driver of a 2019 Kia Stinger GT unresponsive inside his vehicle, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Arlington police said investigators believe the man was traveling westbound along Sublett Road, lost control of his vehicle, went partially off the roadway and struck a tree. Police added that the impact redirected the car into several residential fences, a utility pole and ultimately a concrete pillar.

Investigators believe speed may have been a factor in the crash, APD said.

There was no one else inside the vehicle, and there were no reports of any additional injuries.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the victim once next of kin have been notified.
