The ACM awards are coming back to The Star in Frisco

The annual awards show was hosted at the Cowboys' headquarters facility, which includes the Ford Center indoor stadium, for the first time this year.

FRISCO, Texas — The Academy of Country Music awards is sticking with Amazon Prime -- and The Star's Ford Center in Frisco.

The annual awards show was hosted at the Cowboys' headquarters facility, which includes the Ford Center indoor stadium, for the first time this year. On Thursday, the organization announced it is staying at The Star for the 2024 show in May, and the show is staying exclusively on Amazon Prime Video for at least the next two years.

“When Prime Video first streamed the ACM Awards in 2022, we were overwhelmed with the response from our global audience,” Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios said in a press release. “After seeing last year’s show grow to more than 7.7 million viewers, we could not be more thrilled to continue our relationship with the Academy of Country Music and Dick Clark Productions for the next two years, and especially through the show’s milestone 60th anniversary in 2025. We look forward to continuing the success and bringing even more star-studded and captivating shows to fans around the world.”

The 2023 show was hosted by country music legends Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks and featured all of the top names in country music on the red carpet. The 2024 hosts for the show have not been announced yet.
